Jenny Cookies - Ladies Lunch Feature

Over the last couple of months I have had the honor to participate in not one, but TWO, Ladies Lunches hosted by Jenny Keller of Jenny Cookies. To say it was fun is a complete understatement! Not only was I surrounded by talented and crafty women, but I got to be a guest at one of Jenny's parties. I have admired Jenny's work for years and it was so much fun to see in person, her ideas come to life!

Jenny puts a lot of thought and effort into any event she hosts, she has as true talent for inspiring people like me to create the most of any celebration. The monthly ladies lunches teach you to start creating in your own home. Each month selecting a different theme, she provides you with the tools necessary to do a craft project with the help of the expert she has brought in to teach.

For the February Ladies Lunch, Eylander Sign Co.  taught each of us to make a darling sign like the one below.

The setting was beautifully decorated for Valentine's Day. At each place setting we had the supplies needed for the signs & a little gift to take home.

The delicious spread of food was supplied by Qdoba. Who knew they did catering style, I will definitely be remembering this for any future gathering.

For our sign project, we started with a blank board and added a light coat of stain.

Applied cutout letters or images to board and applied a thin layer of modge podge over each cutout to help keep the seal while painting.

Then applied a thin layer of chalk paint in your desired color, sand the edges and anywhere else you want a more rustic look.

Fun group of ladies with good food, dessert and sangria, this equals a great afternoon!

For the March Ladies Lunch, Kelli with Country Bouquets Floral taught each of us the art to flower arranging. It was so much fun and made working with flowers much less intimidating!

The theme was set for Spring, with pops of yellow and green! We were each given supplies to arrange our flowers in an adorable white hobnob milk glass vase.

Lunch was kept simple, with a delicious (and may I say huge) sandwich, pasta salad and yummy cookie from the Snohomish Pie Co., all arranged in this adorable yellow basket.
